eCommerce… practice what you preach!

Regulars will notice some ads appearing around the site - give what I do for a living, it seems reasonable.
;-)
So far every advertiser is a service that I spend my own hard earned cash on - I’ll try to keep it that way.
There’s one exception - Laura Ashley - who as the case study in my MBA final exam will forever have a special place in my head.

google buys dodgeball.com

Now this is interesting - combine dodgeball.com.with orkut,
and google’s maps with their local directory search, and you have social software to find friends (and FOAF), the directory to find somewhere to go, and the mapping tools to get there. Why wouldn’t bars & restaurants avertise?
Neat thinking - and maybe that’s what google’s got in mind.
or maybe not.
